Statement by the Board of Development Initiatives Poverty Research Ltd

The Board of Development Initiatives Poverty Research Ltd (DIPR) is very sad to announce that DIPR is ceasing operations.

DIPR is the main entity of the Development Initiatives group and employs almost all of the group’s staff. It has become increasingly apparent that ongoing financial pressures make it impossible for DIPR to continue and so the Board is taking the necessary steps to close the organisation.

The Board is deeply grateful to all the staff of DIPR, past and present, for all they have done to advance the mission of reducing poverty and inequality through the power of data. Board members recognise the very significant impact of this decision on current staff and they deeply regret that no other way forward was possible. The Board also sincerely appreciates the generous support of funders and other partners who have made the organisation’s work possible over many years.

The Board is committed to doing its best to follow an orderly process to conclude the activity of DIPR.
