What I do:
As Director of People & Culture, I am dedicated to championing an inclusive culture aligned to our organisational values and ensuring our employees have positive experiences at work. I hold a multifaceted role with responsibilities including: overseeing all aspects of talent acquisition; ensuring we attract and retain top talent; ensuring talent-management strategies nurture and support growth and development; and making sure that our talent operations are effective, streamlined and relevant. I lead on safeguarding initiatives, am responsible for maintaining and managing the organisational risk register, and hold the position of Company Secretary, ensuring DI adheres to regulatory requirements.
I’m a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development and currently serve as a Trustee for SOS Children’s Villages UK, supporting the board and management team. I also have prior board experience with a housing association and am very involved in community activities in my hometown.
Previous experience:
As a seasoned people professional with over 30 years’ experience across sectors including international development, education, housing, and blue-chip professional services, I have acquired a mix of people management, business operations and change management experience.
