What I do:
As a Board Member, I support the management and staff of Development Initiatives by providing strategic guidance, direction and policy advice.
Previous experience:
I have over three decades of experience working with two multilateral organisations, the World Bank and the African Development Bank. During this period, I have been responsible for developing institutional strategies, leading high-level policy dialogue with member governments, participating in G20 deliberations, and organising semi-annual meetings of presidents of multilateral development banks. As the Director General for Southern Africa at the African Development Bank, I supervised a project portfolio of US$12 billion, roughly a third of which was financed by the private sector. I am presently the President & CEO of Developex, a company that provides financial and economic advisory services, including project finance, for countries in Asia and Africa.
