What I do:
I provide legal, regulatory and compliance advice, support and direction to Development Initiatives in my role as Board Member.
Previous experience:
With the huge deficit in the financing requirements for Africa’s infrastructural needs, I lead a team of lawyers at EMSI & Associates in providing support to clients in transactions across sub-Saharan Africa with a special interest in energy and infrastructure as drivers of development. I have served as special legal advisor to UN Habitat in its support to county governments on revenue enhancement and financing infrastructure development through long-term urban planning and enjoy sharing these experiences in local and regional conferences as well as a guest lecturer at local universities. My other recent roles have included serving as founding Member of the African Network for Women in Infrastructure at the African Union Commission and as an independent Board Member of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority chairing the Audit, Governance and Compliance Committee.
