As part of the
Research & Analysis team
, I primarily conduct analysis on public finance. This equips decision-makers and other stakeholders to promote equity, accountability and improve the lives of people experiencing marginalisation and vulnerability.
Previous experience:
I previously worked with
International Budget Partnership (IBP) Kenya
where I led capacity development of civil society organisations and government officials on the public budget-making process.
As the Capacity Building & Learning Officer, I developed curricula and training modules, as well as training other trainers and conducting continuous capacity needs assessments. I conducted research and budget analysis on public deliberations of budgets and equitable distribution of resources at the national and county level.
I led subnational engagements and partnerships, working extensively in the health and water subsectors. At IBP Kenya I led the planning, monitoring evaluation and learning framework, and established mechanisms of generating citizen-led data, using offline/online platforms for budget advocacy.
