My role:
I lead Development Initiatives’ Africa Hub to implement our
strategy
in Africa.
In November 2023, I was elected as the Chair of the Steering Committee of the Global Public Investment Network (GPIN). Through this role I offer leadership in GPIN's movement-building, strategy and the transition from the 'what' to the 'how', helping to create an innovative finance mechanism that aims to mobilise more and better financial resources to tackle 21st-century challenges.
My previous experience:
I am a development professional with over 15 years of experience in national, continental and global development programs on data for development, data ecosystem building, data governance, data driven innovations, and sustainable development.
Prior to joining Development Initiatives, I served as the Executive Director of Tanzania Data Lab, and as the National Program Coordinator for Millennium Challenge Corporation and President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief Data Collaborative for Local Impact program in Tanzania.
I remain a member of a number of national, regional and global committees and working groups on data, innovation and sustainable development.
