What I do:
As a Senior Policy & Engagement Advisor, I contribute to DI’s mission to improve crisis-related financing, supporting the humanitarian sector to follow the money so that more goes directly to those who need it. I work on research and outreach for the
Global Humanitarian Assistance
programme, focusing on humanitarian financing and ongoing reform processes (such as the
Grand Bargain
, climate financing and the humanitarian–development–peace nexus).
Previous experience:
Prior to joining DI, I worked at the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Panama, as regional Advocacy Coordinator for Central America and Mexico. I was responsible for implementing NRC’s regional advocacy and communications strategy, managing a research project on protection needs across four countries, and representing the organisation in the relevant humanitarian coordination platforms. I previously worked in humanitarian policy in NRC Geneva, focusing on protection, principles and disaster displacement. I hold a MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration from the Refugee Law Initiative at the University of London, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Geneva.
